Omni San Francisco Hotel

We stayed in a king room with a connecting living room and pull-out sofa, which was perfect for traveling with kids. The room was comfortable and thoughtfully arranged. housekeeping even pulls out and makes the sofa bed for you, which was such a nice touch. Being on a corner facing two main roads made it a little noisy at night, but nothing too disruptive. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable, though I do wish the comforter was a bit heavier (it’s mostly sheets and a light throw). Loved having a bathtub. major bonus with young kids. We didn’t need to use the AC during our stay, so I can’t speak to how effective it is in summer. But the water pressure was some of the best I’ve experienced in any hotel, and the water stayed perfectly hot. The Nespresso machine is convenient, though I do wish the pods made a full cup of coffee instead of just espresso shots. Service throughout most of the hotel was fantastic. Housekeeping was incredibly responsive and kind , and the breakfast and dinner staff were great. Food and drinks were delicious, and everyone found something they enjoyed. The lobby is also beautiful with plenty of comfortable seating, and the location worked perfectly for our needs. We also loved the daily hot chocolate and the jar of fortune cookies or candy canes near the Santa letters. One off-putting moment: As I was writing this review, my husband let me know he was asked to leave the dinner restaurant/bar area after he placed an order for chicken tenders to bring up to our son. There were open bar seats and several open tables, but he was told the bartender “just wants tables for people drinking.” The waitress was apologetic, but it felt odd and unwelcoming. especially as hotel guests ordering food. So he stood out in the hallway… Aside from that strange interaction, we genuinely enjoyed our stay and would return. The hotel has a lot of wonderful qualities . They even got us in our room two hours early .

I cannot recommend this hotel and its staff enough. I am legally blind. The staff treated me with the utmost respect and kindness. They were helpful without being condescending, which was super refreshing. They called me by name when they saw me in the lobby, and weew so excited for me when my partner proposed during the trip! The hotel itself is beautiful and in a great, convenient location. The rooms were clean and large. Definitely worth it!

I usually don’t do reviews, but it’s a must that I do one for this place….Absolutely best hotel we could have chosen for our 3 day stay in San Francisco. From the location, to the front desk staff, we couldn’t have found a better place and definitely looking forward to staying here again when we return. The room was very clean, and plenty of food options near by. The best part is you can catch the street car right near the hotel and most stuff is in walking distance, and public transportation is nearby so no need for a rental car unless you are exploring outside the city.

Excellent from start to finish. Just came back from an annual Christmas trip and we couldn't have had a better experience. Thank You to everyone who made sure we were treated to the very best San Francisco has to offer. I highly recommend the experience and treatment you will get making this historic beauty part of your stay. Bravo.

It was our first time staying at this hotel, OMINI San Francisco, and enjoyed it very much. From checking in with Rodrigo, to the hotel front door staff, restaurant staff and our departure checking out with John, they all made it a wonderful stay. Hotel is well kept, from the lobby to my room. Very impressed. Location was also great. Easy access to fine restaurants and public transportation to get around San Francisco. I would definitely stay here again.

The best hotels I've ever stayed in. The staff is super helpful and friendly. Fabulous customer service. I appreciated how quiet the hotel is, allowing me to sleep in after a long, long day. The rooms were squeaky clean and spacious. I wasn't able to take advantage of the complimentary drink at the bar, but I definitely will the next time I'm in town because I'll be back. ;)

I adore this hotel. It’s beautiful in a classic, historic way that hotels aren’t beautiful anymore. And the SERVICE. Hotels since the pandemic have really struggled with providing even adequate service—alleged luxury hotels seem to believe guests should travel with things like utensils and water and never forget a toiletry. The Omni feels like a hotel out of time, I love staying here in SF even if it’s a bit far from the office, simply because it’s so welcoming.

Great experience at the Omni San Francisco. Excellent location close to everything. Nice hotel with great amenities. Friendly staff. Special recognition to JR at front desk. There were some issues with the reservation and JR fixed everything. Experienced, knowledgeable, professional….definitely reflects well on the hotel! Would stay again when in San Francisco.
